Sdighé Fondation Dominique Rogeau

Sdighé Diarra Mint Mohamed was born on the 31st of December 1994 with a congenital Tetralogy of Fallot

She originates from a very poor family in Nouakchott, Mauritania. Her mother is a housewife and her father is dead in 2001.

Her mother wasn’t able to afford a heart operation for her daughter.

That’s why our Foundation took care of all medical expenses purposing to help Sdighé.

The girl came to Switzerland and was operated at the University Hospitals of Geneva on the 9th of July 2008.

Prof. Kalangos and dr. Sierra undertook a correction of the Tetralogy of Fallot: closing of the inter-ventricular circulation by a patch, infundibular resection, valvular and pulmonary commissurotomia, infundibular enlargement by a pericard patch.

The surgical operation was successful. Sdighé will never have cardiac problems again and can continue to live her life in good health.

We expresses our gratefulness to the University Hospitals of Geneva, to the Foundation Terre des hommes, to Prof. Kalangos and dr. Sierra for their agreeable co-operation.
